For federal Express Entry candidates, the Alberta PNP draws sent invitations to apply for a nomination certificate, which will considerably enhance their permanent residency application. Alberta will be able to issue 6,250 nomination of interest letters starting in January 2021.

What exactly is a CRS Score?

The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) is a point-based system that assesses applicants' profiles based on characteristics such as age, educational attainment, work experience, language adaptation, and partner's qualifications, among others. The CRS score gives a merit-based ranking. A score of 67 out of 100 on the FSW is required in order to qualify for a PR visa through the Express Entry procedure. Once you've proven your eligibility, all you have to do now is get a high CRS score. High-ranking express entry applicants are chosen to be invited to apply for permanent residency in Canada through the IRCC.

Here is a table with the results of the most recent Alberta Express Entry draw for your convenience.

To get a Notification of Interest (NOI), you must meet the following criteria:

 1. Have a CRS score of at least 300.

2. Maintain an active Express Entry profile.

3. Work in a job that contributes to Alberta's economic well-being.

4. Demonstrate a desire to live and work in the province indefinitely.

After successfully completing the required documentation process, an invited candidate is recommended by the province of Alberta to apply for permanent residency in Canada through Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
